Aaron walked into Beef Wellington a popular steakhouse with one of the most unfortunate and strange names he'd ever heard of. He held the small delicate hand of Sean his 6 year old little brother as the pair made their way into the steakhouse itself. Aaron walked up to the only empty table left which was a table for three he and Sean sat down and started looking over the menu and after a few moments debating and waiting he ordered a small cheese burger and fries with milk for Sean and a large cheese burger and root beer for himself.
He took a sip of his drink once it came smiling at Sean who no had a white milk mustache he picked up the stark white cloth napkin and carefully and gently wiped the milk stain from his little brothers lips. Once their food arrived he cut up Sean's hamburger for him wincing at how large it looked for the small boy. He was going to pick up his food when he noted a person looking around desperately for table he waved to them and said, "There's an empty seat over here"

Aspens first reaction was to embrace the solitude. She blew circles of black smoke into the growling night sky. Her head rested back on the brick, as her mind wandered.
Tyrant and her actually entered the charity event. Of course, she never doubted her partner, but herself. Ty was always capable, she was always unsure.
When competing, the both of them were completely focused, most of the time. But now, standing in the alleyway of a small drugstore and Beef Wellington, she was anything but.
Her thoughts were interrupted when a lone car entered a parking lot, and out came her aunt. Any other day, Aspen would have just scrunched up her nose and face the music, but today, she wasn't in the mood.
Slipping out of the alley way and tithe front of Beef Wellington, she stomped on her joint and entered without hesitance. It wasn't till she was inside that she felt slightly panicked, looking like a lonely fool for coming in by herself.
She wasn't old enough to drink legally yet, so, she couldn't pose as a late night gambler. Looking around for somebody she knew fairly well, she saw someone wave her over, and invite her to sit.
She took the guys invitation with narrowed eyes, and not a word of thanks. Aspen walked feverishly over to the table, pulled out the chair with more force than necessary, and sat. She chewed on her bottom lip all the while, wanting her cigarette back.
"Hey." She said cooly, cringing at where a small boy sat with a milk mustached face. She put a knuckle to her head in dismay. It was a good thing she would only be here a few minutes.

Aaron gave the girl a tentative smile and looked around awkwardly as she sat down down puled her chair out angrily without a word of thanks to him he shrugged it off and took a bit out of his food before lifting his eyebrow as he smelled the acrid stench of smoke wafting off the girl Great. Just my luck I try and be nice and offer some one a seat only to have them be a grump and for them to be a smoker He let the thought drift across his mind as he mentally grumbled at his luck.
He glanced at Sean who seemed to not have noticed anything about the girl at all and was currently going through his cut up hamburger at a surprisingly good rate usually he ate quite slowly and had to be encouraged to eat then again he was usually forced by Aaron to eat mostly healthy foods but Aaron had brought him here because he really hadn't felt like cooking at all. He looked at the girl and stuck his hand out and said, "Hey there, I'm Aaron Jackson this is my little brother Sean what's your name?"

Aspen looked at his hand with lesser suspicion, but took the greeting with a nod. "Aspen." She glanced at the boy, but returned her gaze to the guy in front of her. The tension she felt at the awkwardness was thick and looming, and oh how she wished she could just wave it off. But, instead she tried to match the guys smile.
These small town folk needed so much attention. She didn't know if she could carry out a civilized conversation, without getting hostile. She took a napkin from the table and started wringing it with her hands. Frustrated with her lack of nicotine, she licked her lips and stared down at the man, waiting for him to start the conversation.

Aaron nodded and withdrew his hand when they gave him a nod in greeting this girl clearing wasn't one for hand shaking and from the way she was acting she wasn't one for little kids either then again she was acting a bit like a person having withdrawal symptoms which didn't help ease his overly active need to protect Sean he realized he probably should have spoken by now so he said, "Nice to meet you Aspen..how's your day been so far?" He put his elbows on the table and rubbed his left hand over his right hand a nervous and slightly bored habit he always subconsciously did at the strangest of times it seemed to him.
it was one of the simplest and most common conversation starters that he knew and it always seemed to work out well and when he wanted to try and attempt to liven up the conversation in this case pick up some small talk. He glanced at Sean who was currently attempting to finish ever last morsel of his food Aaron was surprised because Sean didn't usually eat all of his food unless Aaron told him too maybe the food was really good or it was the presence of this girl Aspen it was something Aaron would try and figure out later when he and Sean were safely back in their apartment.
