[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #ffffff 0px; width: 425px; height: 105px;] shows Shows will be run approximately every two weeks. As winter draws nearer, and the Winter Equestrian Festival starts up in-character, shows might become more frequent depending on demand. Halcyon is a very show-oriented barn, so your character will be urged to compete. You can choose to show or not, with absolutely no OOC consequences. |

awards
Two sets of year-end awards will be awarded. One will be for high-point horse/rider in each division, after points from all shows have been tabulated. The second will be for the winner of the zone final at the end of the year. The zone finals will be held every in-character year and will require full-length posts for every class. The top ten pointed horses will be invited to the zone finals, but it's not a requirement to show back.

equitation
This Wikipedia article describes equitation; the hunt seat section is of particular importance. Equitation is a bit of an interesting case. All equitation classes will count toward high-point, but the zone finals only offer medal finals. In addition to zone medal finals, there are also equitation finals, which require qualification and will be held if there's enough interest: Pessoa/USEF Medal, ASPCA Maclay, WIHS Equitation Classic, and the North American Equitation Championship.
